War, politics, exile — and eight people who may decide your fate as much as you decide theirs.
NACON and Spiders have released a new trailer for GreedFall: The Dying World, this time focusing on the companions who will travel alongside you — assuming they survive long enough, and assuming you give them reason to stay.
Across the campaign, players can recruit up to eight companions, each with their own allegiances, moral boundaries, and breaking points. They’re not just combat support; they’re narrative anchors. In battle, you can take direct control of them, shaping their development through individual skill trees tailored to their background and expertise. Build a balanced squad, specialise hard into complementary strengths, or lean into the chaos — the choice is yours.
Outside of combat, each companion carries a personal questline that digs into their past, their politics, and their private wounds. Relationships evolve according to your decisions. Bonds may harden into loyalty, sour into rivalry, or deepen into romance. There are no neutral passengers here — only people watching what you do, and remembering it.
As a native of Teer Fradee torn from your homeland, you’re navigating a continent fractured by war and political manoeuvring. True to the RPG DNA of the original GreedFall, this sequel leans heavily into player agency. How you resolve conflicts, whom you trust, and which lines you cross will ripple outward — through factions, through companions, and through the world itself.
Brothers-in-arms. Rivals. Friends. Soulmates. Or casualties of your ambition.
GreedFall: The Dying World is available now in Early Access on PC via Steam, ahead of its full PC launch on March 10 and PS5 / Xbox Series release on March 12.
