Krafton has confirmed that PUBG: Blindspot, the latest PC project from PUBG Studios, will enter Early Access on Steam on February 5 at 5:00am GMT. It’ll be free to play from day one, with development shaped in public alongside its community.

Blindspot is a 5v5, top-down tactical shooter that aims to fuse the immediacy of high-intensity firefights with the deliberate positioning and decision-making of strategy-driven play. While its perspective is overhead, the feel leans closer to a traditional PUBG experience than you might expect — realistic gunplay, tense engagements, and split-second calls that can unravel a match in moments.

The Early Access build arrives with a raft of improvements over the previous demo. UI and visual clarity have been tightened up, controls have been refined for better responsiveness, and balance tweaks aim to deepen the tactical layer without blunting the game’s pace. PUBG STUDIOS describes the build as “launch-ready”, setting the foundation for ongoing live development rather than a rough prototype.

“Early Access will allow players to directly participate in the development process. Through free-to-play, open development, we aim to communicate closely with the community and complete PUBG: Blindspot together.” - SeungMyeong Yang, Production Director of PUBG: Blindspot

Post-launch, Blindspot is set to receive monthly updates, with player feedback funnelled directly through its official Discord. Wishlisting or following the game on Steam will keep players looped in on availability, updates, and major development milestones as the project evolves.

If you’re curious to see how PUBG’s brand of tension translates to a top-down battlefield, PUBG: Blindspot lands in Early Access this February.

I've been gaming since the days of the Amstrad. Huge RPG fan. Planescape: Torment tops my list, but if a game tells a good story, I'm interested. Absolutely not a fanboy of any specific console or PC - the proof is in the gaming pudding. Also, I like cake.
