If you’ve ever played a horror game and thought, “Yes, this is terrifying, but I’d really like to remove the last remaining barrier between me and panic,” JanduSoft and Bowl of Tentacles have you covered. Evil Inside VR is officially creeping onto PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest 3 early next year — rebuilt, reimagined, and aggressively ready to make you regret turning the lights off.

This isn’t a straight port. The developers have torn apart the 2021 release and stitched it back together like a proud mad scientist. Expect new puzzle designs, overhauled mechanics, fresh environmental details, and lighting dark enough to make you question whether your headset is even on. A fully remastered soundscape builds the tension, the paranoia, and that delightful “please tell me that wasn’t behind me” dread VR does so well.

Players once again step into the uneasy shoes of Mark, navigating his collapsing reality one corridor at a time. Every door threatens new nightmares, every shadow could be a trick of the mind—or something with teeth. The entire experience has been tuned specifically for VR: stand, sit, flail, or freeze, but interaction is now fully physical, precise, and very personal.

Evil Inside VR launches on Meta Quest 3 and PS VR2 on February 5th for $14.99 / €14.99 — a reasonable price for a carefully measured dose of controlled psychological trauma.

I've been gaming since the days of the Amstrad. Huge RPG fan. Planescape: Torment tops my list, but if a game tells a good story, I'm interested. Absolutely not a fanboy of any specific console or PC - the proof is in the gaming pudding. Also, I like cake.
