Big Ant Studios has teamed up with Australian presenter and actor Stephen O'Donnell to take a closer look at the forthcoming Cricket 19: The Official Game of the Ashes.

Presentation is the area which has had the most noticeable work done, with a new first-person viewpoint allowing you to bowl, bat and catch all through the eyes of the player. The AI has also been overhauled to make more sensible decisions — and it will also learn a player's moves which should improve the overall balance of the game.

The Ashes joins other modes such as T20 and one-day internationals, while a new highlights mode lets you relive the best moments from your game.

Have a look at the gameplay video to see what's new:

I've been gaming since the days of the Amstrad. Huge RPG fan. Planescape: Torment tops my list, but if a game tells a good story, I'm interested. Absolutely not a fanboy of any specific console or PC - the proof is in the gaming pudding. Also, I like cake.
