Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge Releases June 16th and Features 6-Player Multiplayer | Summer Game Fest 2022
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will release on June 16th. Announced during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2022 showcase, a new trailer (below) also revealed the inclusion of Casey Jones as an additional playable character and the chaotic-looking six-player multiplayer mode.
Inspired by the classic TMNT beat ‘em ups of the late 80s and early 90s, the collaboration between developers Dotemu and Tribute Games looks to replicate all of the Saturday morning cartoon fun of those time-honored Turtles titles with a bit of modern flair.
Wearing his classic hockey mask and carrying a bag full of weaponry, Casey Jones looks to deal damage in various ways. He joins the four Turtles, Channel 6 News’ finest April O’Neil, and the Turtles’ sensei Master Splinter as they take down a rainbow of Foot Clan members whilst chasing down some of the Half Shell heroes’ rogues gallery.
The game’s six-player multiplayer mode looks understandably anarchic and whilst it seems to run ok in the trailer, it’ll be interesting to see how the game handles these busy battles upon release. Multiplayer can be played locally, online or a little bit of both.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 16th. Those who pre-order digitally before release will receive a 10% discount. The game will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
