Godfall Announced for PS5 and Epic Games Store at the Game Awards 2019

Not to be outdone by their rivals, PlayStation also dropped the name “PlayStation 5” in an official trailer for Godfall during the 2019 Game Awards on Thursday.

Coming in the ‘Holiday 2020’ window, Godfall is presumably a launch title for the forthcoming fifth PlayStation generation. A fantasy “looter-slasher” title, Godfall is developed by Counterplay Games and published by Borderlands developer Gearbox. The game will also debut on PC via the Epic Games Store at the same time.

Although not quite as mouth-watering as the Xbox Series X announcement, it’s certainly very interesting to be talking about PlayStation 5 already — even in this more scaled back fashion.
