A Plague Tale: Requiem received its first gameplay reveal during The Game Awards 2021, with Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem ‘Requiem’ setting the tone for this grim, brutal yet beautifully realised world of 14th century France.

A direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, the story will again follow Amica and Hugo as they fight to survive the harsh world they’re living in. Much like the original game, this is a third-person adventure game where stealth and cunning are the keys to survival alongside a small arsenal of crafted weapons and supernatural powers.

Originally announced at E3 2021 in June, Requiem follows directly on from the events of the first game, which became somewhat of a surprise critical darling upon its release in 2019. The game has since received a remaster for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles

No release date has yet been confirmed, but A Plague Tale: Requiem is set to release in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will also be available on Nintendo Switch via a “Cloud Version” and will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud streaming.
