A Plague Tale: Innocence could well be headed for PlayStation Plus next month. What’s more, it might well be a PS5 version of the game and confirmation could have come via the Xbox + Bethesda E3 2021 presentation… in a roundabout kind of way.

In a post on Reddit earlier this week (per, GamingBible) user deluxera claimed that A Plague Tale would receive a sequel and that the game would be announced during the Xbox + Bethesda briefing. Alongside this claim, the user also mentioned that the first game, Innocence, would be included with PlayStation Plus in July and that it would be enhanced for the new hardware.

As we now know, A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2022.

So, this random Redditor may well be right. If so, we’ll see A Plague Tale Innocence as part of the PlayStation Plus announcement at the end of this month. Of course, plans can change — or they might be completely wrong. Still this would be another big game for PlayStation to provide subscribers with, free of charge.

We have reached out to Focus Home Interactive, the game’s publisher, for comment.
