Spider-Man 2 is coming. The full sequel to Insomniac Games’ critically acclaimed superhero game and follow up to last year’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game, the first trailer debuted during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 on Thursday and featured both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in action.

A voice from the dark — which I’m theorising could be Kraven the Hunter — echoes a call towards the pair of Spider-Men before the familiar growl of Venom, voiced by Tony Todd (of Candyman fame), responds. A flash of the symbiote-imbued villain can be seen before the end, giving fans a taste of where this latest Spider-Man adventure could be going.

You can see the trailer below.

The above trailer is “merely just a glimpse” at what players can expect from the new game (per PlayStation Blog). And much of the development team from 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man will be returning for Spider-Man 2, as will voice actors Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker and Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales.

One of two new Marvel projects announced by the PlayStation first party studio, Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2023.
