Quantic Dream is developing a Star Wars game. Titled Eclipse, the new game was revealed during The Game Awards 2021 with a short teaser trailer. No platforms were announced and no gameplay was shown. The trailer was more of a tonal piece and appears to set the new game during the High Republic era of the Star Wars canon.

Best known for developing modern adventure games like Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, it’s safe to suggest that the David Cage-headed studio will certainly be bringing something different to the Star Wars game space — setting their game apart from the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

You can watch the trailer for Star Wars Eclipse below.

Quantic Dream is something of a controversial studio with allegations of inappropriate behaviour and a culture of crunch amongst other things. As such, the announcement is somewhat mired, especially as the video game industry at large seeks change.
