PS4 Exclusive Vane Releases New Trailer Ahead of January Launch

January 10, 2019

After four years in development, Friend & Foe announced today that brooding exploratory adventure Vane would be released later this month. A beautiful, dark art style feels reminiscent of something from Team Ico as you guide a young boy with the ability to shapeshift into a bird across a barren landscape filled with looming fortresses, ancient magic and stark deserts. To mark the release date, a new trailer has been unveiled.

The comparison to the likes of Ico shouldn't be a surprise — Friend & Foe previously worked on The Last Guardian alongside more mainstream FPS games such as Battlefield 3 and Killzone. With Vane, they are exploring a minimalistic setting which encourages exploration, and one which will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression as the credits roll.

Vane releases exclusively on PlayStation 4 on January 15th, 2019. Check back with Jump Dash Roll for our full review!

Wastelands' thrilling finale means it's a step up from Rules, but it makes a few missteps in its handling of the brothers’ relationship to get there.

I've been gaming since the days of the Amstrad. Huge RPG fan. Planescape: Torment tops my list, but if a game tells a good story, I'm interested. Absolutely not a fanboy of any specific console or PC - the proof is in the gaming pudding. Also, I like cake.
