Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory has just been announced for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The announcement comes via a gameplay clip posted to the Square Enix YouTube channel (per Nibel via Twitter).

Melody of Memory is, as the title suggests, a rhythm game and a drastic departure from previous Kingdom Hearts titles — now that’s saying something! Far from a typical JRPG, this spin-off title sees players battling enemies on rhythm game-esque tracks throughout various Disney worlds.

Melody of Memory won’t be the only Kingdom Hearts content released in 2020. In another trailer titled ‘Kingdom Hearts 2020’, it is revealed that a Maleficent-starring expansion to the Kingdom Hearts: Union X mobile game is coming. Further to that, Kingdom Hearts Union Dark Road — a game that shares an art style with Union X — will release on iOS and Android on June 22nd.
