Ghostwire: Tokyo and Deathloop! were amongst the brand new games announced during the Bethesda showcase at E3 2019 on Sunday. Both games have some serious development chops, coming from Japanese studio Tango Gameworks and Arkane Lyon, respectively.

Ghostwire: Tokyo was introduced as an action-adventure game set in modern day Tokyo with supernatural elements. Tango Gameworks has history with survival horror titles, having created The Evil Within, but the way they were talking about this game suggests that those elements may be reduced. A trailer for the game showed off some of the ghostly elements — including people disappearing in thin air, leaving Tokyo semi-abandoned. A cinematic trailer gives us a look at the world, but little else.

Deathloop! is a new game developed by Arkane Lyon that looks to combine “Arkane signature gameplay” with a pulpy, grindhouse cinema approach. It sees two assassins face off on the island of Black Reef as you hunt down targets and (presumably) one another. Little else was shown off, but this is one of the coolest new games we’ve seen for a while. Again, we received a cinematic trailer where we’d have loved to see gameplay, but it's a promising start.

Platforms and release dates for both games are currently TBC. Check back with Jump Dash Roll for more information as we receive it!
