Amnesia Rebirth, the sequel to 2010’s Amnesia the Dark Descent, will release on October 20 and has a new trailer and new details about the game’s story.

According to a press release by developer Frictional Games, players will take control of Tasi Trianon as she finds herself trying to escape her fears in the Algerian desert. Throughout the game, players will need to manage resources while trying to figure out what’s going on in the world.

In addition, the latest entry into the generally well liked Amnesia franchise will focus more on story than before.

“Amnesia is not just another haunted house spook-fest, but an emotionally harrowing journey", said Thomas Grip, creative director at Frictional Games in a press release. "We aim to go beyond simple jump-scares and to affect players on a deeper level. While Rebirth will contain the terrifying encounters and sights you expect from an Amnesia game, it has a lot more focus on narrative than previous entries in the series.”

Players can now preorder the game on Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store and PlayStation Store for about £24/$30. When more information is available about it, you can be sure to read about it here on Jump Dash Roll!

Somebody once told me the world was going to roll me, and they were right. I love games that let me take good-looking screenshots and ones that make me depressed, so long as the game doesn't overstay its welcome.
