AEW Fight Forever, the long-awaited first video game from All Elite Wrestling, will be released on June 29th, 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The news was confirmed on Monday by AEW wrestler Kenny Omega via publisher THQ Nordic.

AEW: Fight Forever has exceeded my highest expectations,” says Executive Vice President and former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Omega, who has helped lead development on the company’s first game, continues: “When I first signed with AEW, Tony Khan gave me the opportunity to assemble the best gaming team that understands and respects professional wrestling, to make the best wrestling games ever.”

With this ambition in mind, AEW has collaborated with Yuke’s (who ceased developing WWE games in 2019), publisher THQ Nordic, and famed wrestling game director Hideyuki “Geta” Iwashita, who worked on the much-loved N64 arcade wrestling game WWF No Mercy. The classic wrestling game’s “fun, easy to pick up and play, but difficult to master,” as Omega himself puts it, style that AEW Fight Forever hopes to capture.

“Since our initial announcement, fans worldwide have shown unbridled passion around the launch of Fight Forever,” says AEW CEO Tony Kahn. He continues: “With Fight Forever, Kenny and our world-class team have delivered an authentic, nostalgic feel of wrestling games past, along with the unmatched creativity that AEW brings to the table. It’s going to be cool to see our fans finally getting a fresh and much-needed alternative next-gen console wrestling game.”

AEW Fight Forever will launch with a wide variety of modes and match types, alongside an extensive roster of AEW wrestling talent. However, the full roster is yet to be revealed. For more information, click here.
